KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – June 19, 2019 – Motorola Solutions will demonstrate how its advanced, mission-critical solutions enable public safety and enterprise organisations to overcome their most complex challenges at Critical Communications World 2019 (June 18-20, MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, booth G30).
At CCW 2019, Motorola Solutions will showcase a comprehensive set of innovations spanning mission-critical communications, command centre software, video security solutions and managed and support services.
Mission-critical communications are essential to maintaining safety and security for our communities, from daily operations to extreme events including disaster recovery. These solutions are essential for the Asia Pacific region, as evidenced by a United Nations report estimating that economic losses from natural disasters could reach USD$160 billion annually by 2030. Organisations also demand new solutions to augment voice communication with the unprecedented volumes of data and video available today.
To address this need, Motorola Solutions has brought together a comprehensive, integrated mission-critical ecosystem of technologies comprising of:
- Mission-Critical Communications: including the TLK100 and LEX L11 LTE devices that show what is possible over LTE networks and the ultra-portable LXN505 public safety LTE infrastructure system.
- Command Centre Software: to streamline and simplify daily workflows includingCommandCentral Aware, the world’s only unified, proven, end-to-end public safety applications suite.
- Video Security Solutions: including the latest from Avigilon’s video security and analytics portfolio including the H4 Thermal camera with self-learning video analytics.
- Managed & Support Services: to enable customers to focus on their mission while staying ahead of cybersecurity threats.
“Having access to the right data enables organisations to make fast and accurate decisions about where to place their valuable resources, which work to prioritise and how to prepare for their most challenging events,” Motorola Solutions corporate vice president, Mike deVente, said.
“The mission-critical ecosystem we are demonstrating at CCW draws on our 90 year heritage of innovation and our strong understanding of customers’ daily operational needs,” he said.
At CCW, commercial customers in the transportation, energy and utilities segments will also learn how Motorola Solutions’ mission-critical ecosystem and the innovations in critical communications can be customised to meet their needs. One recent example of this is Motorola Solutions’ successful integration work with Siemens to achieve railway signalling over TETRA networks to European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 standards.
Highly survivable and intuitive solutions that first responders depend on under the most demanding circumstances. Includes the latest LTE and P25 technology, the new, ultra-portable public safety LTE infrastructure system, the LXN505 and TLK100 and LEX L11 LTE devices to show what is possible over LTE networks.
With LTE technology advancing new use cases and mission-critical land mobile radio (LMR) forming the backbone of critical infrastructure, Motorola Solutions will also demonstrate LTE-LMR interoperability. This comes as public safety broadband solutions are predicted to grow globally by 26 per cent to 2022, with the Asia Pacific and North America and regions projected to account for nearly 70 per cent of all mission-critical broadband investment globally*.
Regardless of whether users carry a consumer grade smartphone device or a ruggedised radio for more challenging conditions, interoperability between LMR and LTE enables everyone to communicate seamlessly and be at their best in the moments that matter.
Command Centre Software
Interact with applications that provide intuitive, real-time views of an incident as events unfold and make sense of big data.
Market research firm IDC predicts that the world’s data sources will grow from 33 zettabytes in 2018 to 175 zettabytes by 2025. IDC also claims that nearly 30 per cent of that data will require real-time processing**. To overcome information overload, it is crucial for public safety and enterprise workers to get the right information at the right time and to unify the data captured both on the scene and in the control room.
CommandCentral Aware provides the world’s only unified, proven, end-to-end public safety applications suite. Hands on demonstrations at CCW 2019 will show how unifying data, streamlining workflows and helping agencies evolve with new technology, enables teams work smarter and more efficiently - from emergency call through to dispatching resources and ultimately, to case closure.
CommandCentral Vault provides a unified repository of digital information that can be securely stored and seamlessly accessed across appropriate systems. This comes as a CoPaCC National Police ICT User Survey concluded in late 2018 that collecting, converting and sharing digital evidence were the top ‘pain points’ for police forces.
Through computer aided dispatch (CAD) systems including Premier One CAD, agencies can improve their response times, efficiently allocate resources and better inform first responders while creating greater situational awareness. This information can be shared with forces working on the ground through a mobile application solution suite powered by Gridstone, a Motorola Solutions company. Within this use cases, officers can securely access police databases in real-time, or report infringements and issues while in the field.
Video Security Solutions
See how machine vision and machine learning guide AI-driven image capture and analysis - automatically alerting response teams to unusual events and improving decision making with real-time sight.
A recent report shows that more governments are increasing their spend on the use of video security and analytics***, with estimates that growth will increase to 30.5% through to 2023****. The need for advanced video security in clear, as is the need for sophisticated video analytics software to analyse the ever growing volumes of data that video systems generate.
Motorola Solutions will showcase its Avigilon video security and analytics portfolio, including the latest H4 Thermal camera. Combined with on-board self-learning video analytics, it can detect people and vehicles in areas with poor visibility, challenging lighting conditions, absolute darkness, and partly camouflaged scenes such as behind smoke screens.
Providing security operators with greater ease of access, Motorola Solutions’ demonstrations of the Avigilon Control Centre will show how AI can be used to automatically flag suspicious or unusual behaviour while taking context into account. For example, it can identify vehicles using seldom trafficked access roads or persons loitering at normally high-traffic areas. Customers can also experience true video content search functions that enable system users to simply tap on the image of a person in a security feed and find anyone with a similar appearance.
Managed & Support Services
Understand how our worldwide base of Network Operations Centres (NOCs) ensure uncompromising availability, resiliency and security needed to address new, more sophisticated threats emerging every day.
Motorola Solutions will showcase how its NOCs, staffed 24/7 by highly skilled teams, provides guaranteed reliability and availability to keep communications networks operating at peak performance while customers focus on their core operations.
Customers can also learn how cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities can affect unprotected systems. This enables them to determine what level of support is needed - from technical assistance, to advanced monitoring, network updates, through to full managed and supported operations of their systems.
Commercial customers in the transportation, energy and utilities segments will also learn how Motorola Solutions’ mission-critical ecosystem and the latest critical communications innovations can be tailored to fit their needs. One recent example of this is Motorola Solutions’ successful integration work with Siemens to achieve railway signalling over TETRA networks to European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 standards.
