Australian Red Cross Blood Service Selects Oracle Customer Experience Cloud to Help Personalise their Donor Experience

Sydney, 21 July 2016 – Oracle has announced that The Australian Red Cross Blood Service (The Blood Service) has selected Oracle CX (Customer Experience) Cloud to power its new Donor Relationship Management (DRM) system.  

Supporting over 1.3 million blood donations made each year across 75 blood donation centres, The Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s Executive Director for Donor Services, Janine Wilson was excited to be able to offer donors a more personalised experience.

The Blood Service plays a vital role in delivering blood services to the Australian community. The new cloud based DRM system, “DonorConnect” will help the Blood Service match blood demand with donor types. Besides offering a more personalised experience to blood donors, it is hoped that the system may lead to more blood being collected as demand grows into the future.

Ms Wilson, Executive Director for Donor Services at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, said, “We are delighted to have chosen Oracle CX Cloud for the development of our new Donor Relationship Management system. Having a sophisticated platform to communicate with our donors and manage these relationships will assist The Blood Service in maintaining a stable supply of blood products to patients when and where they need it.”

The Australian Red Crss Blood Service’s DRM is being implemented by Oracle Consulting with post-implementation support provided by Oracle Managed Services and Customer Success team.
